Our company started operating in 1996 with office chair and seating imports and sales to the domestic market.


In the subsequent years, it started domestic manufacturing at the factory it founded in Istanbul in the economic
situation of the country and reduced the import entry rates to the level of 10%.

The collection of products of Ofisit is comprised of ergonomic office seats, visitor seats for top executives, medium and low level units, seats for lobbies, movie theatres, theatres and conference rooms as well as couches and work units for factories.

Ofisit offers to its customers around 90-100 choices from among fabric and leather upholstery. Genuine leather upholstering is also possible. At Ofisit, by virtue of Research and Development activities which are of substantial importance, novelties are added continuously to the range of products.

Our company conducts its manufacturing operations in a closed space made up of 10,000 m2 and employs approximately 100 white and blue collar employees.

With a monthly production capacity of 30,000 pieces, Ofisit has, in recent years, accomplished a real growth by 20%.

Production Strategy

At the present day, when successful cost analysis is one of the most important strategies of competition, labour cost is seen as the most risky and expensive production strategy. We ought to make human labour acquire the role it deserved in the production process with successful planning.

It was unavoidable to require automation and technological support when the indispensability of human labour in our sector is taken into account. Thus, we carried out a productivity analysis and studied what kind of automation strategy we should implement at our work sites. We tried to increase our productivity by supporting the necessary points with machinery equipment on which we managed to become successful. When our search for a comprehensive and suitable software in our sector was unproductive, we established an internal Information Processing Department comprised of employees who are experienced in their field and who could quickly learn about the sector in order to create a software suitable for us.

We created the FACTORY PRODUCTION SYSTEM (PANDORA v.1) with very strong three dimensional design programs. We know how sacred human labour is and we seek to use it in the most productive manner with good planning. In addition, we have observed that communication errors lead to highly costs in the production platform. In order to minimise this problem, we receive training on communication skills from Training and Consultancy Companies.

In order to make efficient use of use time, we have used the study programs of industrial engineers and scored each of our products in terms of cost. Our studies have been very beneficial for us. Firstly, we reduced our stock costs by 40%. We follow up all the processes in a computerised environment, make measurements and conduct analyses in charts. We greatly benefited from the rapid movement capability offered by technology products by virtue of which we succeeded to make the work period of the executive personnel more productive.

We are conscious of the sublime emotion we have assumed in the name of Turkey both in terms of duty and also in terms of quality expected from ourselves.
